There are so many universities in the world,but not all of them are so popular to us.We only know the famous universities,but who knows the rest of them,of which we totally don't hear or know them.To rank the universities seems to be made it sense. Because the quantity of the universities,ranking the universities is popular to us,and many people think it is a good thing for them,by this way,they can know the famous universities,and make up their mind to study hard for the university they adore.Not just to the students,but to the students parents,because of all them want themselves or their children to get in a famous university.And by this way,the universities can benefit from it,because the rank,they can attract many students. Any way,in my opinion,I think the university ranking is so stupid,we go to college to learn,not for the rank,and college is a place for us to study,not a place that high on the rank.All of us should understand one thing,which the rank is just a transparent thing,not so important to us.
