The Dragon boat festival As we all know, dragon boat festival is an important and meaningful festival in China.The origin of the festival is to memory a patriotic poet ,Quyuan. Quyuan devoted his life to the politics,but he suffered a lot . The empire trusted the people who are snobbish rather than him,so he felt depressed and wanted to prove his honesty and loyalty by jumping to the river. On lunar May 5th,people in China celebrities the festival all day.On this day,Chinese people would made "zongzi",and hold a dragon boat competition.In my memory,every time we spent this festival ,we were very happy for we could get together with our family to make "zongzi",and we could along the river to see the race.Some people would throw the"zongzi" into the river to feed the fish so that the fish in the river won't eat the body of Quyuan. why this festival is important and meaningful? in my view,it reminds us of that we should love our country,and love our life.Everyone is a part of this society,and we should try our best to protect our motherland and make it better.
