Although it is accepted that an advanced degree is no guarantee of a dream job, the significance of a higher degree is beyond doubt. As is shown in the graph, there is a large gap of unemployment rate as well as income between people with higher degrees and those with lower degrees. Does that mean high degree is everything? Definitely not. It is undeniable that educational level cannot holistically reflect the quality of one person, but educational level is, to some degree, a yardstick for measuring one's ability. The fact is people of higher degrees are generally more capable than those of lower degrees for they're generally professionally skillful, which is why people of higher degrees earn more and have no worry in unemployment. With all was said above, we can draw a conclusion that educational level is an important element in income disparity, which is a fact everyone should face up to. What we need to do is working hard and improve our quality.
