Confidence does exert such a profound effect on our life that it revolutionizes the way of people's living and thinking. As is symbolically revealed in the drawing, there is a football game, consisted of a player and a goalkeeper. However, both of them are unconfident. In the player's eyes, the figure of goalkeeper is enormous, it's very hard for him to score. Likewise, in the goalkeeper's view, himself is too slight to prevent the goal. What a thought-provoking and compelling cartoon it is, and we can deduce from it that the painter is trying to show us that lots of people, around us, are lack of confidence when they encounter the difficulties. On the one hand, they are usually pessimistic and negative to what they would face. In their mind, they are always skeptical about their ability. On the other hand, they are too nervous and timid to handle the difficulties, even if just a try. Jordan, a famous NBA player, says, "I can accept failure, but I can't receive without trying." As far as I am concerned, confidence plays an important role in our life, our working. Thus, it is high time that we highlighted the significance of confidence and cultivated the citizen's awareness of it. Only by enforcing these measures into practice, can our society be more harmonious, our economies be more prosperous and we, as individuals, embrace more promising prospect.
