A recent survey has shown that 67 percent of students think that saving money is a good habit while the rest believe that using tomorrow's money today is better. I'm suspicious of the latter opinion, for saving money for a rainy day and avoiding rampant consumerism is integral to my life philosophy. And I do believe that saving is a relatively advisable way to handle the money. Here are several reasons why I suggest you to save money rather than shop extravagantly. Firstly, we are still students and have little access to money without parents' support. Since we can’t earn money by ourselves, we should be careful of it and make a deposit. Then, there are abrupt weather changes. If something emergent happen but, unfortunately, there is little or no money that you can use, you will find how necessary it is to keep some money in hand. Next, we should call for rational consumption. If one handbag is enough, why do you still want to buy another? A saying that a man can never have too many ties, as far as I can see, is utter nonsense. Any kind of waste must be given a reprimand! Finally, it is likely that men who spend money extravagantly are motivated by sheer vanity. It has always been a mystery to me why people are prepared to tolerate a higher price while there are much cheaper goods. They could be saved so much expense if they choose the cheaper goods. I can't resist concluding this article with some kernels of advice: cherish with your money and make a plan for everyday expense; keep money for emergencies; don't purchase those things which are unnecessary; abandon your vanity. To which I'd only add: pay now for things you can look forward to and enjoy later.
