Nowadays, people are becoming decreasingly aware of the importance of spelling while studying English.They prefer to pay more attention to the pronunciation or comprehension instead of spelling which is considered as the complicated even the easy thing. First of all, why so many students ignore the spelling because they maintain that it is the unimportant part of studying English, perhaps it might be easy for them to recover them.Secondly,both the education of school and the teachers focus on the oral English、listening skills、reading and so on instead of spelling.What's more, the examinations are also require other skills rather than spelling, so that most of the students make mistakes on the test. From my perspective, in order to change this situation, not only should the students change their mind including spending more time on spelling,but also the teachers should tell the methods and importance to them for studying spelling.As long as we do this, we can improve the spelling in the future.
