Nowadays,there is a growing concern over study English or other foreign language.Recently students pay attention to reduce on Chinese language.This phenomenon is harmful to our Chinese culture. There may be a number of factors account for why this phenomenon could happen.First and foremost,The rapid development of the society make the world smaller,people get closer.The Chinese want to know more about other parts of world,so they focus on study foreign culture.Moreover, English is a course in all of our school life.Last but not least,when we graduate of university, who have technology about foreign language will have the beneficial position in job markets. No doubt, neglecting the study of Chinese will ultimately hold back the development of Chinese culture, and Chinese people may lose their cultural identity in such a competitive world. As far as I am concerned,we learn foreign culture is good for us, however,ignore our own Chinese culture is not right.Hence, we must change this situation. To begin with, government should put great efforts on the development of Chinese culture to make more people proud of it; besides, colleges and universities should make exams more balanced, not simply emphasizing the importance of foreign languages; finally, schools should also attach great importance to the study of Chinese, making it a compulsory curriculum. Through these efforts, I think, chances of changing this phenomenon are prosperous.
