What students should learn in school has been a heated topic of discussion. Some people believe that learning history in school is very important. However, others concern the most important knowledge we should learn in school is something relevant to our social life, since we all at last need to go into the society. There is no doubt that history is one of the most important subjects in our social development. The historical stories provide us all kind of experences which can lead us to a more positive direction along our reform and development. So studying history in school would be a fundamental part of our schedule no matter what subject you are major in. Admittedly, we all require different type of knowledge to adopt the society since we always belong to the community. Education in school will offer many opportunities for the students to learn how to live and how to develop themselves in the society. Those who have acquired plenty of knowledge relevant to the social life will be easier to maintain their constant development and more successful than those who have spent most of their time to the academic theory far away from our life. In my opinion, learning history and other subjects relevant to our life are nor mutually exclusive, both two are significantly required in our life. History can guide us how to do and point out which direction is the best one, relevant knowledge to life,on the other hand, also plays an important role in our life because only having historical experences cannot completely attribute a person to succeed as our society are constantly changing and associated knowledge will need to be changed.
