Whether government fund should be invested in all important areas except art is a critical issue for our society as a whole, given that government budget is not infinite for all countries. So trading-off the benefit and cost associated with various projects is really challenging. Although a clear cut between good and bad investments in terms of the utilisation of the government fund can never be made easily, there is a widely adopted guideline which suggests that more money be invested in the subjects which can raise the living standard of the population. Admittedly, being able to make its population better off is the ultimate goal of any government and allocating government funds efficiently and economically is the key to this accomplishment.
