It is no denying the fact that software piracy is a hot issue which has caused heated debate over a long period of time because it affects daily life of everybody. We can find out software piracy here and there, and it is most harmful to our society. If I am concerned, the reasons of the abuse of software piracy can be summarized in the following three aspects. First of all, it offers large profit to the makers because it costs less money to make software piracy. Secondly, common public prone to buy software piracy due to software piracy cost them less money. Last but not least, there is a lack of strict policy to publish this phenomenon. How to crack down the harmful phenomenon? In my opinion, government and medias should join hands to put an end to the phenomenon. On the one hand, government should publish the phenomenon seriously and take care to deal with software piracy in accord with the legal treaties. On the other hand, medias should report the harmfulness of software piracy to educate public to repel software piracy. Only following the two points can we restrain the abuse of software piracy.
