From what is detailed demonstrated by the graph, we can easily observe that there is an upward tendency in electricity consumption. The consumption in 2005 increased by 2.51% over 2004 apparently,though there was a fluctuation in 2006,it soars to 5.26 million kilowatt in 2007. There are many factors contributing to this phenomenon.Reasons can be generalized as follows:in the first place, with the remarkable development of the technology and living standards,a number of new electrical equipment are becoming increasingly widespread in many households.Secondly,the number of the population is becoming staggering,which means the number of users will become enormous. In addition,it should be attributed to extreme climate, people have to use air conditioners to feel better.Last but not least,citizens and government put comparatively little attention on saving electricity ,which also leads to the overuse of electricity. As far as I'm concerned,The rapid increase of electricity consumption shows that it has been playing an indispensable role in our life. Vital to all aspects of modern life, electricity is far from being sufficient. Accordingly, it alarms that each of us should foster the consciousness of saving electricity.
