Crime has been viewed as a cancer for both individuals and society. A criminal issue that has been under debate is whether we should punish seriously for all kinds of crime. Some sociologists believe that the government should punish all the individual crime in order to decrease the criminal rate. They agure that the victms may suffer from physical or psychological diseases and even lose the life. Without the stringent laws for each type of crime, people would fine it difficult to avoide dangers even in daily live. Also, the stringent laws is beneficial for the government to govern our country, which is an important factor to the social process, as well as giving an advantage to copy with social crisis. Other people, however, argue that the law should be objective as stringent penalty is not alway more productive. Humanity is alway kind-heart, but person may violent the law due to the unmature emotion. Some general crimal , relating to young people, are too implusive to considerate anything they do. Instead of punishment, what we should do is taking effective measures to educate those young generation. If we put the adonlescent into the prison without condsiderating the criminal motivation, these juvenils may even become a real crime in the future. My own view is that punishment should be fixed for all kind of crime. But at the same time, the level of penalty should depend on the motivation and consequence of the criminal act. Only in this way can the society get better than even before.
