The table chart given above reveals the statistic of traffic accidents in a Chinese city. 668 accidents caused by drivers turning left without due care,ranking first, increased by 10% over 2004. 281 accidents happened as a result of drivers driving under the influence of alcohol,and it grew 15% dramatically. Other 3 reasons also ascend rapidly. The chart inform us of the facts that the two factors illustrated above is rising sharply. What exactly contribute to the phenomenon? From my perspective, the dominant reason is that with the development of society, more amd more people can afford to buy a car and drive on the road,so the complete number of accidents jumped accordingly.Secondly,the drivers don't have enough security consciousness. In term of these reasons,a large-scale triffic education should be implemented to make the people pay more attention on triffic safety.Another measure also should be launched is that the traffic law and regulation shoud be strictly enforced and heavy penlties shoud be imposed on the people who violate the laws and regulations. Only in such way can we improve such situation rapidly.
