Dear Mayor, I am a student from Yangzhou Middle School.It has been reported that the water pollution has become more and more serious in the Songhua River.Harbin’s water supply is threatened by the pollution,leading to some panic buying water.Many experts have been sent to deal with the water pollution accident.This has taught us a lesson.At present,few people realize how important it is to take care of nature.They destroy our living environment intentionally or unconsciously.With the rapid development of the city,we should first take measures to protect the surroundings and never bring in projects with heavy pollution.Meanwhile,we should also close down some works producing serious pollution in our city.We should never develop our city at the cost of damaging people’s health.Only in this way can we have a sustaining development and therefore the people will enjoy a happy life for ever.
